I realize it's been a while since I posted an entry. It's not that this situation has stopped. Quite the contrary. But this development seemed worth repeating.

It’s been suggested –twice– that the neighbors (Read: Where I Live) want my property and that's why they stalk and are quite aggressive about it.

For many of the stalking neighbors, this is could be about money. It makes sense since some of them are quite vested in the process. One of the dog walkers is very persistent, and very disagreeable too.

Again, if they want my condo, why not make an offer? Why....

  • spread vicious rumors? An example of defamation of character and slander.

  • follow me on and off property? Stalking at this level is an aggravated felony.

Why people are participating could depend on a variety of factors:

  • They will benefit financially.

  • Others like to harass, provoke and anger. They enjoy that.

  • Others might think they're helping someone because they believe the false narratives they've been fed. (Read previous posts. Links below)

  • Some might just want to be included in the activities, feeling somehow cool.

Whether I stay or go, the lead stalkers – as detailed in The Early Years– will just follow. How do I know this? Because they engage in this activity wherever I go including when I visit my mother. They have contacted her building employees and several residents.

They also have contacted clients, their employees and vendors I work with. They have contacted contractors that I hire. They have contacted members of my family.

If you’re involved, know this: When you engage in defamation of character and stalking (aggravated felony considering the level of behavior), you will face the consequences of your actions in some way or another.

About Stalking

"Stalking is not confined to physical intrusion; emotional and psychological abuse can also be inflicted. Abusers often use gaslighting, manipulation, and psychological torment to erode their victims' sense of self-worth and independence. This abuse sets the stage for the victim to become more susceptible to further control and manipulation. Stalkers may send threatening messages, vandalize property, or even physically confront their victims to instill fear and intimidate. This constant undercurrent of fear not only paralyzes the victim but also reinforces the stalker's control over their life. This climate sets the stage for an abusive relationship where the victim may feel powerless to escape." – from HumanOptions.org

It's all about dominance.

"Stalkers employ various tactics to assert dominance over their victims, such as invasive monitoring, constant surveillance, and unwarranted interference in personal matters. This need for control is a red flag that should not be underestimated." – HumanOptions.org
